I love the spin where you compliment your mom for being both mother AND father. After seeing the younger pictures of your parents, I now know where you got your gorgeous warm brown eyes!
Kisses to you and BW!
Awwww that’s a really sweet video Johnny!!!!
(PS Your mother’s hair? Huge! I loved it!)
Wow this is fantastic, and I don’t mean just MaH’s hair! (Incidentally we now know where you get those gorgeous movie star looks from.) Thanks for sharing such sweet and personal memories.
I don’t even know where to start. LOL. I really really need to dig up some pictures of the backyards to start with. You and I both know darling, that we lived in one of the most rich, upper class neighborhoods. Your father was an amazing man. I have very fond memories of the times spent in your house. Miss your mom’s zucchini bread, man that was the best ever. I couldn’t help but laugh at the statements about how different you are from your brother.
It always amused me how while you never really joined in on the lets blow things up kicks that C and I got into. It really was a delightful time blowing up army men, and looking back I realize that my friendship with your brother ended about the time I stopped being all tomboy, and he discovered girls. I just wasn’t cool enough even though I was a year ahead in school I guess.
But we had so many good times the three of us in the woods on that stupid track we made. Remember? Gods, I think we spend all summer building jumps and ramps for C’s stupid radio controlled cars, and you brought the lawnmower or a bike back there.
And of course there were all the times that C sneaked into your room to steal something. I always found it endearing that you had a teddy bear.
But then again, you were the wet dream of every girl younger than you at school even though you never knew it. Every time you tried to rebel more, the hotter the girls and boys thought you were.
Its ironic how we often see ourselves different from how others see us. In 95 I would have said that the only reason I was at all popular was because I was your friend and neighbor. By 98 when I was a senior I realized that my own oddness made me well know on my own.
Of course you are famous now. Still blows my mind.
I would love to see some of those pictures. Those were some very fun fun days. If I were a parent these days I would never let my kids do what we did. Thanks for the memories N.
When I get settled in where ever I move to I promise I will go through all the photos I have and get them scanned in and sent to you.
