Unnerved

Drip On Unzipped

The other morning I was late for work, as usual, and grabbed a bottle of water on my way out the door. I drink a lot of water and I drive a long way to work – about 44oz of water each way. Anyway, all of the back and forth of my overland driving somehow caused the bottle of water to leak all over my back seat last night. The Unzipped magazine that was sent in by a fan named Brennan almost a month ago was the primary victim. It had been sitting there for nearly a week. I need an assistant – or a job closer to home – or a home closer to work.

This afternoon Johnny went around Palm Springs trying to locate that issue with no luck. He’s leaving town tonight, which means I will have to order the issue, have it shipped to him in Boston so he can sign it and forward it to Brennan. That magazine is going to have a better three day weekend then I will! (Mostly because I work on Monday)

Mortal Tasks

Yesterday I spent the entire afternoon arranging little pieces of paper and all my W-whatnots into a presentable form for my accountant. It also meant going through the entire year’s bank statements and making a copy of each, highlighting deductions and putting them into the right category. Cause for a doobie, good tunes and some time hanging out. Afterwards Mike and I went to the weekly street fair they have downtown and took a gander. There were organic farmers, wood carvers, jewelers of all types and local color in every direction. Very cute! Right up my alley. I snagged some wood pieces and a loaf of 9 grain bread that I used to make French Toast this morning. Or is it Freedom Toast now?

Mike was asked by Tom Bianchi to do a shoot. I knew it! Mike is so Tom Bianchi!!! Big and muscled with the looks of a lumberjack. HOT! I told Mike that Tom does many different styles and he should find out the vibe before committing. After all, Mike is the big shy type – HOTTER! He would have a difficult time doing a sexual shoot. But hey-ho, it will all work out just as it should. I am a bit jealous though, I must say. Tom’s work is very well done and I have always wanted to work with him. I cannot wait to see how this goes down….the shoot is “scheduled” for Sunday evening.

Madonna Mixed By Pet Shop Boys

Posted by Boy Wonder

Johnny and I were out recently and became quite enamored with a song we heard; two of them, actually. The first was the Pet Shop Boys remix of Sorry by Madonna. I mean, does it get any better than a rockin’ Madonna song with Pet Shop Boys vocals? The second was Totally Hooked by Peter Prest featuring Bonse because we always love a creative cover that manages to maintain the integrity of the original. Not that this is a cover, but it’s close enough. Naturally I suggested we feature the second ditty here on the blog and he heartily agreed. So, if you’d like to give it a listen it is now available for your listening pleasure.

Oh yeah, funny story. Through circumstances I may elaborate on later, I found myself helping Johnny with his belt. I reached around him from behind to loosen the buckle and suddenly became aware of the unusual proximity and immediately withdrew. He smiled and I informed him that it might be best if he took care of that himself so I could avoid a heart attack. Sigh.

Photo Op

At the GAYVN convention following a relatively long night of open bar antics at the CyberSocket awards I was getting ready for my shift at the Channel 1 booth when my old buddy Jared approached…no…ran up to me. He informed me that they were doing this book documentary thing a couple of booths over and asked if I would like to take part. Jared is the photographer responsible for the photos used to adorn this blog; we have history, so I knew doco was legit.

I had just arrived and was the first one scheduled to sign, Chi Chi was due any moment. She doesn’t always look like that you know. It takes a bit more than a set of false eyelashes and some light application done in an vanity mirror to create the Diva that is Chi Chi LaRue. I really wanted to do this…after all, it’s a book…it’ll be around forever on coffee tables all over the nation! I told the sales guys that if Chi Chi was to arrive – I was in the loo. I ran over to the doco booth and busted out the supermodel quick poses to get it over with quickly and efficiently. The entire thing lasted about 4 mins and some change. I ran over just as Chi Chi was strutting down the aisle toward the Channel 1 booth. I grabbed my Sharpie, greeted her good morning and began my arthritic afternoon of signing and smiling.

Road Trip

Posted by Johnny

Mike got a job at a restaurant opening here on March 1. At least, that’s what they think. Knowing restaurants as I do I know to expect the launch date to be a pipe dream at best. Mike was very happy nonetheless. I suggested we go to San Diego to celebrate his new life here in PS. I’m spontaneous that way.

We had a great time. We stayed with Tyler Riggz, my co-star and GAYVN nomination partner for Best Sex Scene in Wrong Side Of The Tracks. Sunday was spent driving back and watching series 5 of Ab Fab over and over. You have to love Ab Fab if you expect to live under my roof.

We got up today at noon, layed by the pool till about 3 then took a nap. It was rough. Yeah, I had work that needed to be done, but it was 80 freakin’ degrees out and you won’t find me indoors when the pool beckons!

I am cooking dinner now, waiting for Mike to return with some movie he vaguely described over the phone at the video store. One movie then it’s off to bed for me.
