My Week In Two Acts And Four States
Ain’t life just grand? Johnny just went to work so I won’t see him ’til tomorrow. I have to tell you he never ceases to praise Boy Wonder - not only for the technical assistance, but as a friend as well.
The week with the family came to an end and we packed Milo to the gills with everything. Thank goodness he shipped the IML shirts to Chicago! You should’ve seen the set up during his artistic process.
When we left Tuesday morning it was monsoon weather; cold, windy, rain. The thought of traveling 12 hours in that was uncomfortable. After a few hours we hit NY and Mother Nature stopped P.M.S.ing. Clear skies and sunlight! The drive went by quickly - several stops for walking around, peeing and me to smoke. The goal of reaching Albany was well within reach. During the travels I overheard him tell people on the phone, “Sure, I can do that - I’ll have some time tonight when we stop”. Adrenalin is a strange force…once we hit Albany his body told him ‘ENOUGH’. I caught part of American Idol and we both decided to call it a night at the infamous Red Carpet. Hey, it was a place to sleep and the doors had deadbolts. What more could you want after 9 hours on the road? ha ha
Now that I’ve made the trip through Ohio, PA & NY I believe I wouldn’t mind driving it myself - as long as I had a “lead” once I hit Massachusetts to get me through that maze of congested highways, roads and game paths to Cambridge.
Sarah’s home replicates her personality: Warmth, charm, comfort. I love Cambridge. As you know we had dinner at Aquitaine the other night (of course you remember - that wonderful audio of his on our way home). Last night we went to Harvard Square, had pizza, beer & wine at this great restaurant where we sat at a counter and could people watch. Then went to Whole Foods Market where we bought some groceries and came home to make a ‘healthy’ dinner. Me? Healthy foods? Not quite. Yesterday I walked to the local small market and bought pretzels and chip dip.
So he’s working now and I’m sure I’ll be catching the zzzzzzzz’s when he gets home. (If there was a way for Milo to stay here while he worked I was looking forward to detailing him inside and out. He has bug crap on him from California to here and I want to make him look ‘purty’. Maybe tomorrow or Sunday!) Decided to catch up on some work so I won’t be so overwhelmed when I get home next week. Some of my Boston boys invited me to a party in Dorchester this afternoon, but I’d best exert some self-discipline and get some work done!
That’s all for now. Happy weekend to everybody!
