I think that perhaps as you/ I have gotten older, the general population's attitude towards gays has become more accepting much to our advantage and now we can enjoy those little innuendos and the occasional cock size joke by our straight brothers (I really enjoy that). I have found too, believe it or not, that when I think that somebody or some group of people are not going to like me for whatever reason it is usually due to my own fears of not being accepted and has nothing to do with the people. Funny how that works. I firmly believe in projecting a confident attitude and strong sense of self. There are times that I do not feel confident and I do not feel strong, but I try to do the best I can and every single time I have been surprised to find that my fears were unjustified.
